How to Get Out of The Funk!!!!

I recently asked my facebook friends how they get out of their funk.  I know what my process is but wanted to know how others do things.  There were so many great responses!  One likes to Booogie on down with awesome music, another likes to crochet, there was one who serves others in various ways, hot tub and massage, uplifting spiritual programming and the list goes on.  Personally,  I like to find a really happy thought, song or memory or  to do something I love to do...this is when the funk is more of a personal I-don't-know-what-it-is funk.  When it is related to business, I look for some positive action step that I might take rather than sit and wallow in what is, I move forward into what can be!

The one comment I didn't hear is that they go around telling every soul who will listen...their negative story.  Continuous focus on the negative story brings more of the same negative story.  Misery loves company and that goes for things on a personal level.  When you are continually rehashing your negative story...even if just to yourself, you are continously creating more of the same for yourself.  This is the law of attraction.  What you focus on you create.  If you can hear it, see, it and then speak it, it becomes reality, positive or negative.  Thus, if you are tired of seeing the same things in your life, change your focus, thoughts and speech.

To really make headway, set an intention for your day each morning!  Write down some really positive goals for immediate, middle and far futures.  Visulalize about what your life would be then. Keep your thoughts and speech immpecably clean of any negatives (if you are habitually speaking and thinking negative thoughts, this might take some practice, but can be done).  Do something nice for someone else without being asked.  Keep yourself in line with pleasant thoughts.  If you don't have really pleasant thoughts, go for a better feeling thought.  Once you have that, go for another better feeling thought.  Keep climbing that ladder.  Be patient with the process.  After all, it took you a while to get into the hole you are in and it may take time to climb out.  The process is all about changing your habitual behavior and thoughts.

There is an area that will help you immensely to excellerate this process.  Food and fitness.  When you start eating better foods and working out, you help your body to stabilize its hormonal balance.  This will assist you when things get rough.  Being in balance hormonally will buffer and mollify the intensity of what is coming at you.

So I recommend my two favorite books on this:
The Power of Positive Thinking
Money and the Law of Attraction
